Metropolitan will have an opening for a Nursery Attendant effective June 1.  The person(s) hired will be expected to be in the Nursery three hours per  Sunday and must be certified according to the Safe Sanctuaries Policy.  Those interested should contact Sharon in the Church Office at 313-875-7407, ext. 304 for additional information.

I have posted a Hands 4 Detroit video on both our facebook http://www.facebook.com/MetroUMCDetroit and facebook group http://www.facebook.com/groups/23692664091/. It's not very good quality video but you can enjoy the reason for the celebraion.

Hands4Detroit was a success! We had 750 volunteers who registered online, 200 volunteers who walked in and registered, and 50 volunteers who came in at 7 a.m. for the behind the scenes work. The total volunteers were 1000 volunteers! That's 2000 hands who served 20 work sites. Volunteers came from 70 different places and we covered 1500 square miles. We had enough to feed 17,700 people a meal. There were 17 pallets of food and 3 pallets of hygiene products. These pallets each were 1,000 pounds Praise the Lord!.
