Carol Choir
The Carol Choir, made up of students in grades 1 through 5, meets every Sunday morning, September through May, for rehearsals. Children leave the morning worship service at the Doxology going to the 3rd floor gathering room. Goals are to develop a sense of music ministry, always focusing on vocal technique (age-appropriate), good understanding of religious text, appropriate behavior in worship and cooperative group skills. A parent group coordinates choir needs and activities.The Joyful Noise Choir
The children ages 3 through 5 make "a joyful noise unto the Lord," as they grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and others. They develop musical, social and performing skills while sharing their simple faith. Occasionally they share their faith with the congregation during the worship service by performing one or more of the songs they have been singing in their classes.
Kaleidoscope
Every Wednesday, children come at 6:00 to have dinner and fellowship. At 6:30, they have opportunities to try different forms of worship. They may be a part of a liturgical dance group, a puppet group, a drama group, or they may enjoy physical games that keep their bodies--their temples--in shape, or perhaps different expressions of art. At 7:30, children time for Kaleidoscope Choir, and at 8:00 we have prayer and mediation time during which we wind down and spend time together.
Junior Kaleidoscope
A program is planned for our infants and toddlers who are taking their first steps into learning about the love of Jesus.
