Reverend Faith Green Timmons is a native of the Detroit Metropolitan area.
Her home church was Southfield Hope United Methodist Church where she
served as Children’s Minister from 1993-1998, helping to develop the
children and youth ministry there. She later served as an Associate
Pastor at Hope in the area of Communications and Media from 2000-2002.
Other ministerial experiences include Christian Education Director at
First Church of Round Hill in Greenwich, Connecticut, Youth Camp
Director at Temple of Faith Baptist Church in Detroit an internship with
Youth for Christ Ministries in Detroit, and years of experience with
Intervarsity Christian Fellowship on the campuses of Eastern Michigan
University, Wayne State Universtiy and Harvard Divinity School.
Reverend Green Timmons received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism in 1995
and her Master of Divinity from Harvard University in 2000. She has just
finished a Master of Sacred Theology program at Yale University. She has
had a variety of experiences in Journalism including Editor of the Yale
Divinity School Student Affairs publication, Editor In Chief and
Director of Public Relations and Executive Producer for Hope U.M.C.
media ministries, and in a number of radio and TV programs in Detroit
and the Boston area.
