Have you heard? On Sunday, May 6, we are hosting a large Community BBQ. We have such wonderful neighbors in the North End and Midtown Detroit communities and are excited to host a BBQ to offer a way for neighbors and this community to connect with each other. The Community BBQ has family friendly activities for people of all ages. There will be delicious food including BBQ beef ribs. There will be music, fun, games, a bounce house, health screenings, and community information available.

Change the World is a global movement of United Methodists doing what they can to improve lives and community. On Saturday, May 14, 2011, Metropolitan Church will connect with the global movement by joining forces with the 2011 Woodward Avenue Action Association’s (WA3) “Clean the D” event. Teams of volunteers will engage in major clean-up efforts to make a difference at the Woodward Avenue Gateway.
